Frankfurt Airport has two buses to transfer passengers from one terminal to another. The frankfourt buses are located in Terminal 1 and 2. The bus service is free and the travel time from terminal to terminal is 7 to 10 minutes.
Public buses transfer from the airport to any point in the city and have stops in front of terminals 1 and 2.

Airport facilities

Frankfurt Airport and the air base were opened in 1936. After the Berlin-Tempelhof Airport, Frankfurt Airport was the second largest airport in Germany. It served as the West German base of operations for the Air Bridge with Berlin.

In 1972, it opened a new passenger terminal which was the main international stopover. It is currently referred to as Terminal 1.

Frankfurt Airport is located near the city of Frankfurt am Main, 12 km (7.5 mi) from Germany. It is considered the largest airport in Germany and the base of operations of the German company Lufthansa.

Currently, Frankfurt Airport serves as a stopover for international flights. It has different destinations (265 direct flights), unlike London Heathrow Airport.

There are projects for the expansion of the stations, one of which is the construction of a fourth runway and a new terminal.
